Random things you learn by having blog posts that rank highly in Google for specific queries: Over the weekend "Identity verification on Mastodon" was a popular search in India.

It turns out the reason for this is that @sanjayuvacha - a high profile Indian anti-Nazi lawyer - got his account suspended by Twitter for using this iconic 1936 photo of August Landmesser refusing to Hitlergruß as his profile background.
